In Germany, the business hours allow shops to be opened till 8:00pm from Monday to Saturday.
However in practice they may vary.
In the rural places and in suburbs they close the shops as early as 6:00pm or 6:30pm on weekdays and between 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturdays.
In the big cities of Germany shops, supermarkets, department stores, etc. are open till late.
In the train and petrol stations of Germany the prices may be slightly inflated in after hours.
The banking hours of Germany are 08:30—16:00 hrs on weekdays.
This applies to the banks and money exchanges.
In Germany state institutions may close early around 1:00pm on Fridays and are closed during weekends.
