Germany Entry and Customs

When you travel to Germany, there are certain entry and customs regulations which you have to observe. Entry into Germany requires a passport and visa, although US citizens are allowed to stay up to ninety days without a visa.
If you bring in goods to Germany, there is a duty free permit if you are from some non-EU nation.
Also the goods must be belonging to the traveler and meant for his personal use alone.
Specific regulations apply to the quantity allowed for bringing in cigarettes, alcohol, tobacco, coffee, etc. to Germany.
Similarly, there is a duty free permit in Germany for importing goods worth up to 175 Euros.
